Our Brands

Richland Compostery is our industrial composting brand in West Central Indiana. It is based out of our Dagger Farm facility—​about an hour west of Indianapolis and 30 minutes southwest of Lafayette. Here, we're building a model for how a family farmstead can be rejuvenated back into useful and profitable service to its community through curbside rubbish pickup and compostery services.

 

The Dagger Farm is located in the heart of some of the most fertile Midwestern cropland and includes:

• 30 acres of virgin prairie grass pasture where cattle have grazed since the early 1800's

• a 2,300 square foot home updated to modern energy efficiency standards

• about 6 acres of compostery that produces finished compost and compost tea

• an operations center for a 3 county curbside rubbish service; and

• a large event and training facility.

The compostery is providing an unmet need for residential, commercial, and agribusiness rubbish handling that keeps these organic materials out of landfills and incineration centers. The nutrient rich compost and compost tea are return delivered to members or applied on crop and pasture land as an all-organic supplement. Through the Compostery, we are able to provide a turn key solution (including education and training)  to others who are interested in offering these services in their communities.
